Prior to joining Monograph, Matt served as a Vice President and Wealth Advisor at Oakwood Capital Management, in West Los Angeles, CA, from November 2012 to November 2016. In this role, Matt instituted Oakwood’s financial planning process, systemizing and standardizing the approach with the goal of helping clients make the most informed decisions regarding their tax, estate, retirement, personal finance and investment needs. Matt was also a consistent contributor to the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, which helped drive firm strategy and communication.

Prior to Oakwood, Matt was a Relationship Manager at Credit Suisse Private Banking in Los Angeles, beginning in June 2010, where he served as financial advisor to high net worth clients and a link to the firm’s investment banking, lending and trust & estate planning verticals. At Credit Suisse, Matt gained broad exposure to public company debt issuance & equity raising, various forms of lending, and concentrated stock/10b5-1 plans.

From 2004 to 2009, Matt worked in property & casualty insurance for Sullivan Brokers in Los Angeles, and Marsh, Inc, in Philadelphia. He built a specific expertise in medical malpractice liability and directors & officers liability insurance coverages. His clients were hospitals, surgery centers, doctors and public & private company C-suite executives.  Top clients included Cedars Sinai hospital, Comcast and Vanguard.  In these roles, Matt gained valuable expertise in risk analysis & risk management, as well as deep skills in insurance contract terms & conditions and pricing negotiation.

Matt received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He played collegiate soccer at Penn and professionally in the MLS, and continues to play and enjoy the sport competitively.

Matt resides in West Los Angeles with his wife Tracy and children, Ellie & Evan. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family & friends, attempting to master the game of golf, playing music and passionately following his hometown Buffalo professional sports teams. – 310.496.7319
